Oxnard Police Foundation

In early 2001 the leadership of the Oxnard Police Department and a small number of civic-minded business professionals and residents from all walks of life established the Oxnard Police Foundation (OPF).  Incorporated on March 21, 2001 the primary goal of the Foundation is to provide financial resources for police programs not funded in the city budget in order to enhance the safety for all those who live, work and visit the city of Oxnard. The Foundation is chartered through the State of California as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization.  Through tax-deductible donations supporters of the Foundation provide much needed funding for urgently needed safety equipment as well as funds to assist Oxnard youth who are either at-risk or interested in a career in law enforcement.

Oxnard Police Foundation programs are funded through tax-deductible contributions from Oxnard residents and businesses and are used primarily for programs to:

 ·         Provide funds to enhance police programs designed to assist Oxnard youth

 ·         Provide specialized law enforcement training, education and equipment to Oxnard officers

 ·        Expand organizational and technological systems to enhance current managerial and operational effectiveness

 ·        Provide funds for benevolent causes within the Oxnard community

 ·        Provide funding for activities to enhance officer morale within the Oxnard Police Department.
