Police Foundation
In early 2001 the leadership of the Oxnard Police Department and a small number of civic-minded business professionals and residents from all walks of life established the Oxnard Police Foundation (OPF). Incorporated on March 21, 2001 the primary goal of the Foundation is to provide financial resources for police programs not funded in the city budget in order to enhance the safety for all those who live, work and visit the city of Oxnard. The Foundation is chartered through the State of California as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Through tax-deductible donations supporters of the Foundation provide much needed funding for urgently needed safety equipment as well as funds to assist Oxnard youth who are either at-risk or interested in a career in law enforcement.
